¿Que es la verdad?
When Pilate was interrogating Jesus, Jesus told him that He had come into the world to testify to the truth. Pilate asked Him, "What is truth?" (John 18:38).
How would you answer that question? What is truth to you? So many times sleeplessness sets in when we confuse the facts about our lives with the truth...and there is a difference! You may be depressed, have a heart condition, a troubled marriage or an empty bank account. These may all be facts, but there is only one Truth. His Name is Jesus, and He has come to overcome them all.
Pilate was so busy looking at the "facts" of his life that he missed Jesus! He saw the fact that letting Jesus go would get him into trouble with the Jews, leading to trouble with Caesar. He failed to see that Jesus could free him from all this bondage to politics. For Jesus alone was, "Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named-above every title that can be conferred-not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. And He has put all things under His feet..." (Efesios 1:21-22, NVI).
What are the "facts" of your life tonight? Before you go to sleep, take them to the Lord and ask Him to overcome them in the power of His Truth! The Truth will set you free!
Dios te ama y quiere responder a tu oración. Di esta oración conmigo:
Heavenly Father, thank you for helping me discern between facts and Truth. No matter what the facts are in my life, Your Son is victorious over them all. I now hand You every "fact" that has been causing me torment and ask that You take control. "Facts" will always change, but Your Truth never will! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
