My heart cries out for God to pour out a fresh new financial anointing on my life and on every one of my precious partners like you. But before I write another word in this letter, I want to pray that fresh new anointing upon you, Friend.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, just as You called Samuel to anoint Saul and poured your Spirit upon him for a new assignment, we ask you now to pour out a fresh financial anointing upon the life of this precious partner. Let the oil of your favor rest upon them. Let there be a new season of financial freedom, fruitfulness, and abundance … not merely for their own needs, but so they can become an even greater blessing to your Kingdom. As Saul was changed when the anointing came upon him, let my dear partner experience fresh oil flow, let financial doors open, let their harvest increase, and let your covenant blessings overtake them. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Friend, this prayer is for you … open your heart to receive it!

As we approach this holiday season and prepare to step into a new year, I am asking you to lay aside the weights and burdens you have been carrying and come before God with an open heart and an open hand with a cry out to God: Let a fresh anointing of your Holy Spirit fall on me!

Perhaps you have experienced disappointments this year. Perhaps you have faced unexpected expenses, financial pressures, unanswered questions or circumstances that have tested your faith.

Friend, this is your season. Finances touch so many areas of our lives. They affect our responsibilities, our families, our ability to serve others, and our ability to build God’s Kingdom and do the work God has called us to do. That is why I want to share with you what I believe are Five Steps to a New Financial Anointing.

Just as we must prepare the soil to receive the seed, we must prepare our hearts and lives to receive the precious oil of God’s anointing to pour out over our lives.

Faith is a fact, and faith is an act. Here are Three Faith Acts you can take right now to place your life under a new, fresh financial anointing…

FAITH ACT 1: Renounce Every Ungodly Financial Agreement

There can be thoughts about money that become deeply rooted in our hearts. “I’ll never have enough.” “Things will always be this way.” “My family has always struggled financially.” “I’ll never get ahead.” “Something bad is always going to happen.”

In the name of Jesus, you can reject the patterns of hopelessness, poverty thinking, and financial defeat that have influenced your thinking. You are a child of God. You can trust His promises. You can trust His wisdom. You can trust His direction. And you can decide that fear will not have the final word over your financial life.

FAITH ACT 2: Plant a Seed of Faith

Faith requires trust. Giving is more than a financial transaction. It can be an expression of worship. It can be an expression of obedience. And it can be an expression of trust. Think about the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17.

She had almost nothing left. Yet when Elijah instructed her to give first, she responded in faith. Scripture records that the supply she needed did not run out. Her story reminds us that sometimes God asks us to trust Him with a seed before we can see the harvest.

Friend, I am asking you to pray. Ask God: “Lord, what would You have me give?” Then listen. If God puts an amount on your heart, obey Him. There may be times when the amount requires faith. There may be times when giving means putting your trust in God instead of holding tightly to what is already in your hand.
