- Your brain is 80 percent water, your blood is 70 percent water, and your bones are 22 percent water? What does this have to do with physical and emotional pain and sickness?
If you don’t know the source of your pain, it is difficult to apply the right remedy for healing. Physical and emotional pain can be caused by many things, but one major cause, that is often not realized, stems from the words that we speak and the words that have been spoken over us for many years.
An experiment was performed on water molecules to see how they reacted to certain things. The molecules were viewed under a high-powered microscope. When the words “I love you” or a prayer was spoken over them, the molecules turned into beautiful snowflakes. When the words “I hate you” or certain types of hard-rock music were played, the molecules turned into mush.
So, considering that our bodies are mostly water, imagine what our insides begin to look like after years of unkind words being spoken over us. When considering this, it is not at all difficult to see the link between words and sickness or depression. Even listening to the wrong kind of music can have a detrimental effect on our bodies and our minds. Think about the many different diseases of the bones and blood, like osteoporosis and leukemia.
Fortunately, the negative effects can be reversed by continuous affirmations of positive words. All positive words can have a positive impact, but the most powerful words are those of Jesus. Our bodies and our minds are created to respond to the Words of our Creator.
If you suffer from pain or sickness, or carry bitterness and anger, you may have been subjected to unkind words over a long period at some point in your life.
You can begin receiving healing and restoration today by making positive, scriptural confessions over yourself. Changes will begin immediately, even if you can’t see them for a while. Don’t let a delayed outward response discourage you; even a seed must be watered for a time before it will eventually sprout up through the soil.
You can recite specific Scriptures that identify who you are in Christ, but any part of God’s Word brings life to your body and mind.
Jesus said: . . . the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
Say this faith declaration out loud: Father, I will no longer accept or permit unkind words spoken over me. I also will refrain from speaking unkind words over others, knowing that words can cause great, long-term pain. I will endeavor to make pleasant, godly affirmations over me and my family every day. Lord, help my body, mind, and heart to heal from all of the negative effects of spoken over my life words. Amen.
Positive Affirmations:
I am the head and not the tail; I am above and not beneath. (Deuteronomy 28:13.)
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13.)
No weapon that is formed against me will prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I will condemn. (Isaiah 54:17.)
