- When something unexpected interrupts your plans for the day, it very well may be God intervening—because He loves you so very, very much—even if you don’t yet know Him!
Sometimes the Lord may have plans for your day that you don’t even know about. You may be out shopping or racing to an appointment, and then, suddenly, something happens and your day, and even your life, takes a dramatic turn. Beloved, it is not just a strange coincidence.
The Lord said to us in Jeremiah 29:11, AMP:
For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope.
He watches all of us and knows every thought, word, and action. He does intervene in our lives often; we just don’t always know what He’s doing. And He uses every possible opportunity to bring us to the truth of His Word, so that we may be saved from darkness and brought into the light.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10
In 1992, the Lord used such an opportunity to reach out to thousands of people who were attending a Prince concert in Earl’s Court, London. The concert was taking place right next door to our first Mission To London crusade, where thousands of people gathered to hear a profound message about the Good News of Jesus Christ—our Lord and Savior.
The two events started and ended at the same time, and attendees of both events rode the same subway train in and out of the area. Beloved, it was no coincidence that these two groups were thrust together in this manner.
When those attending our crusade came out of the meeting, they were full of the love of Jesus and on fire for God. They wasted no opportunity to share the message that they had just heard with Prince’s fans. And as a result, hundreds of music fans attended the remaining meetings over the next few days, where they heard the message of Jesus, and many decided to give their hearts to Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
None of these fans of Prince started out their day expecting their lives to change, but the Lord intervened. The Morris Cerullo Mission To London attendees had an opportunity to do exactly what the Bible commanded, and concert goers had the opportunity to hear about the Savior and receive everlasting life.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved . . .
Mark 16:15-16
Beloved, it is no coincidence that you are reading this. Today, the Lord has intervened in your life! Please take this opportunity to receive Jesus into your heart, so that you can walk in all of the blessings that He died on the cross to give us all—health, peace, joy, and victory in every circumstance.
Say this faith declaration out loud: Dear God, I desire to know You and to receive all of Your blessings upon my life. I thank you for intervening and bringing me to the knowledge of Jesus Christ—the only One Who can save me from destruction. I ask for Your help now, for You to guide me to victory over every situation that I am dealing with. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Scripture Reading:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:7-9
