  • What you give attention to is what determines your failure or victory.

Beloved, as I was contemplating a situation and meditating on the Word of God, the Lord brought to mind two things–what I am to not consider and what I am to consider. I instantly knew what He meant.

When you stop to consider God’s Word instead of your circumstances, you will find all of the faith, wisdom, and knowledge to achieve and receive everything you need.

Romans 4:19 tells us of Abraham:

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

Hebrews 12:2-3 says:

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

So, I immediately took my eyes off of my circumstances and put them where they belonged – on the Lord. I began going over all of the Scriptures that tell me why I should consider Him, and as I did, my problem seemed to fade and my heart seemed to expand with the love and peace of God.

Let me share with you some of the Scriptures that I meditated on. I know that they will also help you – no matter what you are going through.

Consider Him … Who took your infirmities and bore your sicknesses. (Matthew 8:17.)

Consider Him … Who gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16.)

Consider Him … Who gave you power and authority over all sickness and over all the power of the enemy. (Luke 9:1 and 10:19.)

Consider Him … Who has given you the power to speak to the mountains in your life and cause them to move. (Mark 11:23.)

Consider Him … Who has given you all things necessary for life and godliness.
(II Peter 1:3.)

Consider Him … Whose blessings will come upon you and overtake you. (Deuteronomy 28:2.)

Consider Him … Who has given His angels to watch over you. (Psalm 91:10-12 and Psalm 103:20.)

Beloved, when you are going through a crisis, take your eyes off the problem and focus them squarely on God, and CONSIDER all He has done for you and all that He desires for you. You will find that when you do that, faith develops, fear leaves, and prayers are answered!

Say this faith declaration out loud: Father, I will consider not my circumstances, but I will consider only what You have done for me and what Your Word says about me. Through Your Word, I have great victory. Hallelujah!

Scripture Reading:

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Luke 12:6-7

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Psalm 89:34

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke 11:9-10

And the LORD shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

II Timothy 4:18
