  • Our covenant with God includes healing

God has entered an everlasting covenant that provides for all of our needs, INCLUDING HEALING, and He has bound Himself to us with His Word.

He promised: My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips (Psalm 89:34).

From His very first dealings with the children of Israel, God’s purpose was to remove sickness from among His people. He entered into a covenant of healing with them in the wilderness. He told them:

… If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Exodus 15:26

God wanted His people to know that not only was He their mighty deliverer, but He was their Jehovah-rapha, the God Who would heal them. On Mount Sinai, after He gave them the Ten Commandments, He promised: … I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23:25).

Forty years later, as they prepared to enter the Promised Land, Moses reminded them of this covenant and God’s promise of healing:

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: … Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

Deuteronomy 7:12, 14-15

God has planned for His people to be free from sickness and disease, and to live in divine health. When the children of Israel entered into the Promised Land, there was not one feeble person among them.

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

Psalm 105:37

The same way that God entered a covenant with Israel that included their healing and the removal of sickness from among them, He has entered a covenant with you that provides for your healing.

Say this faith declaration out loud: Father, thank You for Your covenant, which includes healing for me! I acknowledge that I’m in covenant with You, and I declare that today is my day to receive all of the promises that You have for me. Amen!

I Kings 8:56

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
