Friend, as you’ve seen on the news, there are thousands in Southern California suffering from the loss of homes, businesses, and precious possessions as a result of the devastating wildfires that swept across Los Angeles county last week.

As firefighters continue to battle and contain these blazes, thousands are homeless and thousands more are waiting to return to what’s left to their homes.

Imagine your first house, the one started your family in, where your children grew up … the memories in every precious memento, gone. Imagine the sting of the pain seeing what was once “home” now a smoldering pile of rubble.

Imagine the excitement of opening your first business, installing your exciting works of art in your museum, taking your family to your favorite eatery … and now it’s all ashes and soot.

Recently MCWE sent a significant donation to Convoy of Hope and the LA Dream Center, just two of many organizations providing much needed food, clothing, and personal items to those affected by this horrible disaster. This we do under the unction of the Word of God which admonishes us:

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2, NIV)
