Beloved, there is a right way to pray that will produce results!
Whether your prayer is for the salvation of a loved one, healing, a job, help with a relationship, or some other matter, you can be assured of success if you will pray the way that Paul taught:
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Ephesians 1:17-19
Beloved, if you will pray this prayer every day, especially for particular needs, it won’t be long before you see great success.
I recently had a Partner tell me that he prayed this prayer every day for six months over his unsaved brother, who apparently had a very hardened heart and was downright mean.
This is the way he prayed:
Father, thank You that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to my brother [insert name] the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, that the eyes of his understanding are enlightened; that he may know what is the hope of Jesus’ calling, what are the riches of the glory of Jesus’ inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Jesus’ power towards those who believe, according to the working of Jesus’ mighty power.
After six months of daily prayer, this Partner said that he got a phone call out of the blue one day from his brother, who had just given his life to Christ. Praise God.
Anytime that I don’t quite know how to deal with a situation, I ask for Jesus to “enlighten the eyes of my understanding” about that situation. I continue to pray in this manner until I get revelation of how to proceed. It never fails, and this is the way that Theresa and I pray for our Partners.
I find that it’s always best to use God’s exact words when possible. So, when I have a need, I look for a specific Scripture to use. The Lord said:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11
This means that when we speak out God’s Word in faith, it reaches His ears full of enough power to accomplish what the Word says, and God makes sure of it.
… As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Numbers 14:28
Beloved, trust in the power of God’s Word, and speak it forth in faith, expecting answers!
Say this faith declaration out loud: Father, thank You for enlightening the eyes of my understanding regarding [indicate the circumstance that you are facing]. Your Word is full of power and will never fail me. I expect to receive my answer and I claim my victory now. Hallelujah!
