Beloved, Jesus was ANOINTED! The Holy Spirit came upon Him and REMAINED WITHIN HIM. The dove was only an outward, visible manifestation of the deep inner working of the Holy Spirit within Him.

Jesus was BAPTIZED with the Holy Ghost. He was completely saturated and FULL of the Holy Ghost. From that day forward, He was fully yielded to and controlled by the Holy Spirit, and He walked CONTINUOUSLY under this anointing.

He walked out of the Jordan River fully, empowered and equipped to defeat Satan and fulfill the work God had anointed Him to do!

Then Jesus, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led in [by] the [Holy] Spirit For (during) forty days in the wilderness (desert) where he was tempted (tried, tested exceedingly) by the devil.

Luke 4:1-2, AMPC

The ANOINTING Jesus received at His baptism did not leave … it REMAINED IN HIM. During His encounter with Satan, the anointing did not weaken or diminish in power. He went into the wilderness in this ANOINTING … FULL OF the Holy Spirit. He faced and defeated Satan under this powerful ANOINTING, and He left the wilderness under this ANOINTING … full of the Holy Spirit and power!

Then Jesus went back full of and under the power of the [Holy] Spirit into Galilee, and the fame of Him spread through the whole region round about.

Luke 4:14, AMPC

It was through this anointing Jesus received, which lived and remained within Him, that He was equipped and empowered to do the works of God.

Jesus openly acknowledged that the works He did were not done in His own strength or power, but through the Spirit of God … the ANOINTING within Him.
Jesus told Phillip:

Believest thou not that l am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

John 14:10

Jesus was one with the Father. They were united together by the Spirit. The Father lived within Him through His Spirit. Through the Spirit of God within Him, the Father revealed what Jesus was to do and speak.

Jesus told the Jews who were ready to kill him because He claimed that God was His Father, “The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise” (John 5:19).

Jesus continued, “For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel” (John 5:20). He later said, “…I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things” (John 8:28).
