  • God’s blessings and prosperity belong to all who follow His principles.

Beloved, are you following God’s simple principle for provision: Give and it will be given to you?

The first step to receiving financial breakthrough is to know that it is God’s will to prosper you. The second step is to find and meditate on God’s promises regarding prosperity. The third step is to act upon those promises in faith. To be successful in receiving God’s prosperity, you must get your eyes off of your present circumstances and lack. You must begin to believe the promise despite what your eyes tell you.

Many Christians today are frustrated because they don’t understand why they are not reaping God’s promises for blessing and prosperity. They are claiming His promises, but they are not following the principles that He established for giving. As a result of not honoring God with their substance, they are not reaping God’s promises.

Proverbs 3:9-10 tells us: Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

God prospers and blesses us when we honor Him with the wealth that He has placed in our hands. Regardless of your income or what you possess—whether it is a large amount or a small amount—God expects you to honor Him with it.

When you honor the Lord with your wealth, God promises to not only supply your needs, but to bless you with plenty—the greatest possible abundance. Are you ready for God to bless you with the greatest possible abundance?

We do not have the right (and cannot expect) to reap God’s blessings if we are not faithful to first give to God. This may be hard for some people to accept, but it is true. We cannot expect God to deliver us out of our financial afflictions, and prosper and bless us, when we fail to be good stewards of what He has given to us.

All of God’s blessings that He has promised to the children of Israel were based upon their obedience. They were given a choice: if they were obedient to God, they would live under an open heaven and receive His blessings, but if they were disobedient, the blessings would pass them by.

Christians today have the same choice. You can choose to honor God with your substance by giving Him your tithes and offerings, and receive His supernatural provision, prosperity, and blessings, or you can choose to withhold your finances from God and fail to receive His promised blessings. The choice is yours.

Take a personal inventory of your life with respect to your giving. Are you honoring God and recognizing that He is your source of supernatural provision by giving the very best of you—your wealth—to Him?

Say this faith declaration out loud: I will honor God with the wealth that He has given me by giving Him my firstfruits, tithes, and offerings. I claim Proverbs 3:10, and speak it into my financial circumstances. I will reap His promised blessings by being obedient!

Scripture Reading:

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Malachi 3:10

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Luke 6:38

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Psalm 35:27
