Do you know what your position in the Body of Christ is? Do you know which gifts God has given you? Are you filling your position? Are you following God’s directions and guidance or your own?

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Ephesians 4:15-16, NIV

Christ is building His church. By His Spirit, He is placing members within the Body and giving gifts to them according to His purpose and His will.

When I was a young orphan boy, I did not choose to be an apostle, prophet, and evangelist to the nations of the world. God called me to serve Him. As I yielded to His call, He gave me these positions. With that calling came a tremendous responsibility. I had to be willing to pay any price.

When we are joined with Christ, we are vitally linked together. A vital force flows through us and connects us all so that we function as one body. By His Spirit, Christ is speaking to the Church to awaken to the power that He has placed within us. We must awaken to the purpose for which he has called us. We must fill the position for which He has called us so that His Body will be complete and fully functional.

We must acknowledge our total dependence upon Jesus. He is our only Source of life. We must look to Him for guidance, strength, and wisdom. We must walk in the knowledge that we are one with Him. We must expect His power to be manifested through us to the world. Once we see the light, we will need a spiritual determination to keep the unity.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

I Corinthians 12:27, NIV

If God has called you, ordained you, and placed you in a position with His Church, the Spirit of God is calling you to RISE, in the fullness of His power, and take your position within the Body. He gave you your gifts and calling so that the Church would be built up. NOW, take your position in the Body of Christ.
