- Let us celebrate the birth of Christ by remembering all that He has done for us.
He came that we might live a victorious life, filled with every blessing and favor. This Christmas, let’s take time to worship Him and thank Him for the sacrifice that He made for all of us!
He came as a light unto the world: I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness (John 12:46).
He came to redeem us from judgement of our sins: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28).
He came to provide us with spiritual food: Â And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst (John 6:35).
He came to heal us: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20).
He came to provide us with a comforter and guide: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (John 14:16).
He came to give us abundant life: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
He came to forgive us of sins: When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house (Mark 2:5-11).
He came to give us eternal life: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:40).
He came to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Luke 4:18).
He came to give us provision: For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (II Corinthians 8:9).
Beloved, this Christmas, let’s put aside all stress, bitterness, anxiety, and sadness, and let’s spend time meditating on all that Jesus has done for us. Let’s remember the suffering that He endured so that we could live in abundance and victory. Smile, and be thankful for what you have, and if you have lack of any kind, remember, Jesus has already paid for your victory.
Say this faith declaration out loud: Dear Jesus, thank You for all that You have done for me. I am so grateful, and know that You would have done it all exactly the same, even if it was just for me. I love You, and choose to walk in all of the favor and victory that You suffered to give me. Amen.
