Many, many people today live very defeated lives because they have not taken hold of what it means to be created in Christ’s image. Every lie of the devil is meant to destroy our self-image and keep us from receiving all of God’s blessings.
In John 10:10, Jesus says, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy . . . The thief is Satan, and one of the main things he seeks to destroy is our self-image.
There is nothing so destructive as having the incorrect image of yourself. When your mind is conditioned to the extent that you see yourself weak and as a failure, when the image of who you are is negative and incorrect, it blocks the power of God from flowing in your life to help you victoriously confront your daily circumstances.
The Word of God says that those in Christ are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. It says that we are overcomers, and that we have full power and authority over all sickness and over all power of the enemy. It says that nothing is impossible for us!
If your vision of yourself does not match this description, then there is a breakdown in communication and you have somehow misunderstood what it truly means to be made in God’s image, which is spiritual far more than it is physical.
As a child of God, as one made in His likeness, you are enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, so that you are not lacking in any gift.
You have been given a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. You are a joint heir with Christ, with the mind of Christ, and you are able to overcome every attack of the enemy with your God-given faith.
Your sins have been washed clean with the blood of Jesus, you are seated in heavenly places with Christ, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and nothing by any means shall hurt you!
You are a partaker of Jesus’ divine nature, you know all things, you are born of incorruptible seed, and you have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
Beloved, are you beginning to get the picture? You are a child of the most high God! You have been equipped to have victory in this life, over every fiery dart of the enemy. God sent His only begotten Son so that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.
Today, stand up and boldly declare who you are in Christ Jesus, and then begin acting that way!
Say this faith declaration out loud: Dear Father in heaven, today I declare that I am who You say I am! I refuse to ever again believe the devil’s lies. I declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I will begin walking in the power and authority that You have given me over every wicked thing that tries to tamper with my life. Today, I am victorious!
