Do you ever find yourself asking, “Why does it seem like all the news today is bad news?” Are you battling anxiety, stress, health issues, overwhelming responsibility, fear, or panic? If you are struggling in any area of your life today, do not despair. You have been given the peace of God.

Beloved, we will find peace in the Name that is above every other name, Jesus. In the Gospel of John, we are told: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).

PEACE! What an amazing gift! Our Father in heaven has given it to us freely. We only need to choose to receive it. As you read the Word of God, take a moment to study what the Bible tells us about peace, and then confess with your mouth the promises made.

The natural world sees peace as an end to war or conflict, or as inner peace—a calmness within—a break from worry. We would all like to have peace of some kind, but worldly peace only lasts for a short while. Until the reign of Christ, war will never end on earth. A spa day will not relieve all of your stress. Meditation may not bring lasting peace.

Christians have the promise of God’s covenant of peace. In Ezekiel, we learn of God’s covenant with Israel that we can claim as our own:

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

Ezekiel 37:26

Look to the Word of God to experience true peace and let the Holy Spirit be your guide. Follow the instruction given to you, and know the relief of heavenly peace—a peace that we cannot even comprehend in the worldly realm.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

When you receive the fruit of the Spirit—peace—and abide in Christ, you can experience the perfect peace that comes only from God. This peace is the absence of chaos, worry, fear, strife, and anxiety. No matter your circumstances, you can stand assured in the peace of God that the situation is in His hands and you will come out victorious.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

May the Holy Spirit supply peace in your life like you have never experienced before. Trust in God and receive the peace that passeth all understanding.

Say this faith declaration out loud: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your peace. I claim Your covenant of peace over my life. I will release my worldly cares unto You and allow the Holy Spirit to lead me in Your ways. Amen.
