Dear Friend, Inflation steals … it steals your money. It steals your retirement savings. It steals your hope for the future. It can steal your faith in God’s promise of your Harvest.

Today I want you to release your faith in a way you might have been overlooking. I want you to stop holding on to the problems of today, worrying about how you will face the famine of tomorrow.

I want you to focus your faith on the immutable, everlasting, unchanging and personal promises God has given you in His Word. Then act on the power of His promises.

In times of economic uncertainty, what you have in your hand is precious. It may feel like the only hope for your future when things seem outside of your control. But if you hold on to the seed in your hand it can never be your Harvest.

Experience has taught me over and over again that as we obediently and faithfully Sow Seeds wherever, whenever, and however God directs, we will consistently Reap His Harvests in our lives. Why?

Because God is ALWAYS faithful to His Word!

Remember God’s promise, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest . . . shall not cease”(Genesis 8:22).

Take a moment from the worries of “now” to reflect on the above again. Those are His Words. They are His promise.

His Seedtime and Harvest principle will never end. It’s your eternal promise!

Isaac’s story in Genesis is your promise to prosper in the midst of famine. It is just one of the many Biblical examples of how obedience, faithfulness, and Seed Sowing result in God’s tremendous Harvest blessings.

During a time of famine, God told Isaac not to go down to Egypt, even though it was there he would find plenty of food and water. Instead, God instructed Isaac to remain in the land He had promised to Isaac’s father, Abraham.

Just imagine what it meant for Isaac to remain where there was a “famine in the land” of terrible thirst, starvation, extreme lack, and more. His choice was similar to what you may be facing today: Trust in the Word of the Lord or spend fruitless time worrying about a future that is out of your control .

Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. (Genesis 26:1-14).

     Look at the three powerful dimensions of Isaac’s Harvest Blessing.

3. He continued prospering and became very prosperous …

     God’s promised blessings to Isaac are yours when you sow in the midst of famine.

Will You choose to be Like Isaac?

     Like Isaac, you can choose to obey God’s Word, in spite of what is going on around you. You can obey God by acting in faith and Sowing Seeds. Then, what happened to Isaac can happen to you!

Remember when my dad or I first shared the Scriptural principle of Seedtime and Harvest with you? Something stirred in your heart.

Don’t let the problems of today cloud the feeling that God once stirred within you when you recognized the truth of this principle. Remember His promise of a Harvest. Let that promise fill your heart.
