- Christians fought the first war on Christmas … ~ New York Post
Beloved, are you in despair? Lonely? Discouraged? Depressed? Do you have family problems? Broken relationships? Loss? Are you a sinner? Do you feel at war with everything?
We live in a world filled with turmoil, confusion, and division – we pray that God will put the love that He demonstrated by giving His son into our hearts, and into our lives, so that we can be whole.
Let me assure you, Christmas is the greatest revelation of God reaching out to humanity. If you are a sinner (and we ALL are), then, you need Christmas. It exists because we are sinners. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21).
Christmas is the season when we remember that “God so loved the world that He gave” … He was willing to give the most precious thing that He possessed, His son. (Read John 3:16.) He did it for you. He did for me. He did it for everyone who will believe.
Over one thousand years before Christ was born, Abraham saw the day that Christ, the promised Messiah, would come to earth to redeem mankind from sin. Jesus said, Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad (John 8:56). Abraham kept his faith alive, vibrant, and focused. As a result, he took hold of the promises of God!
When the angel appeared to Mary, a virgin, and gave her the promise that she would conceive by the Holy Spirit and give birth to the Son of God, she received it by faith.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Luke 1:30–33
Beloved, what is the solution? How we celebrate Christmas—keeping Christ in not just Christmas, but keeping Christ alive in US—is how we know that God will deliver us from the powers of negativity and the forces of Satan that come against us in our minds, in our experiences, and in our lives.
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Colossians 1:13
The solution is simple. In this season where time slows down, we need to take time to reflect on our faith and the foundation of our faith in Jesus Christ. We need to focus on Christ in us, and how we can show that He lives through us.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Beloved, we can keep Christ alive in us daily. The spirit of Christmas can live in us every day. May you and your family find the gift of His Presence in this season of Christmas! Mama and I love you from the depths of our hearts! Praise God for the birth of his Son, Jesus!
Say this faith declaration out loud: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to be born so that I can have faith. Remind me, oh God, to keep Christ alive in myself every day and to focus on You, making every day, a celebration of Christmas. Amen.
