- The right confession leads to the possession of the things that you desire.
Words carry great power. Use them to your advantage to shape your life — your health, your ministry, your relationships, your finances. The Lord said that you can have what you say.
When Jesus cursed the fig tree and it dried from the roots up, He said to his disciples:
… Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Matthew 21:21-22
Beloved, what are you believing for, and more importantly, what are you speaking? The words that you speak about your life are actually proclamations, or prophesies, and they will come to pass exactly as you believe and speak. If you see yourself as sick and poor, and continue to speak about how sick and poor you are, then that is exactly what you will continue to have. Your circumstances can only change if you begin to believe only what God’s Word says about you, and then declare it every day.
The Book of Proverbs gives us many examples of how words affect us:
Proverbs 12:18 (NASB): There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Proverbs 15:4 (NASB): A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perversion in it crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 16:24 (NASB): Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 18:21 (NASB): Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 21:23 (NASB): He who guards his mouth and his tongue, Guards his soul from troubles.
Just these few verses discuss how words affect our spirit, our soul, and our body. So, beloved, are you beginning to see how important your words are? They are the key to victory in life. What you speak will affect every area of your life. And God’s Words carry the most power. Jesus said: … the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life (John 6:63, NASB).
God also told us: So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11, NASB). This means that when we speak His Word back to Him, it fulfills itself. As an example, say, “Lord, You sent Your Word and healed me and delivered me from destructions. I have no lack; all of my needs are met. Everything I set my hand to prospers. The blessings of the Lord come upon me and overtake me. I am the blessed of the Lord, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.”
The more you speak it, the more you will believe it; the more you believe it, the faster it will come into manifestation for you. So, confess God’s Word over your circumstances DAILY! Do not fall into fear or doubt if you do not see immediate results. Keep at it. God’s Word cannot fail!
Say this faith declaration out loud: Lord, thank You that Your Word cannot fail me. I will speak it with boldness daily and expect to see it manifest in my life. I will not turn loose or back down. I will keep my eye on Jesus and I will keep my mouth filled with Your Words. Through Your Word, I have victory! Hallelujah!

Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.
Daniel 10:12, NASB
But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
