We are entering a time of INTENSIFIED SPIRITUAL WARFARE that is totally unprecedented in any age! The Apostle Paul said, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come” (II Timothy 3:1). Jesus was very clear concerning the conditions which would come upon the earth as “signs” prior to His coming. He said:

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity the sea and the waves roaring; Luke 21:25

Jesus said there would be distress of nations WITH PERPLEXITY! This is the day in which we live! Not only is there great distress in every nation upon the face of the earth, with major changes and crises in every area of life…political and economic upheaval… skyrocketing inflation…wars…violence… crime…famine…earthquakes and natural disasters…AIDS…there is great perplexity! In the natural there are no answers…no solutions to these crises we face. The world is perplexed…not knowing what to do…desperately seeking answers but finding none. The leading politicians…economists… heads of state… scientists…do not have the answers. They are like blind men, groping their way in the dark, desperately trying to find a way out. Jesus said the turmoil upon the earth would be so great that MEN’S HEARTS WOULD FAIL THEM! After he mentioned the distress of nations with perplexity, He continued by saying:

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming upon the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Luke 21:26-28

WHEN YOUR HEART IS FIXED, NOTHING WILL SHAKE YOU!

In the midst of this great turmoil today…of great distress, perplexity, fear and uncertainty…God is going to have a people! A people who will stand strong and immovable…whose faith will not waver…who will be fearless and bold while others are fainting away in fear because of the conditions coming upon the earth. I must warn you. The conditions we are facing in the world today aren’t going to get better. Not only will the crises we see in the world continually grow worse, the battles we face in our families, physically and spiritually, in all the circumstances in every area of our lives, will increase in intensity.

You must be prepared to win the BATTLE FOR YOUR HEART!
While men’s hearts are failing them for fear, God has planned for your heart to be strong, fearless, immovable! When your heart is FIXED, you will not be shaken! David, a “man after God’s own heart” said:

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
Psalm 112:6-8

God wants you to have a heart that is STRONG…FIXED…CLEAN…PURE and PERFECT toward God!

This revelation God has given me for the Body of Christ is one of the most vital messages I have ever prepared! Unless you have prepared yourself… fortified and strengthened your heart…for this endtime hour, you will be shaken!

GOD IS DIRECTING US TO FORTIFY AND STRENGTHEN OUR HEARTS FOR THE ENDTIME BATTLE!

In 1990, at the World Conference, I shared the revelation God had given me concerning the Five Major Crises and Five Major Waves of the Holy Spirit. God showed me five incredible crises that were coming in the nineties…

• a crisis of change…
• a crisis of the family…
• a crisis in the shaking of the church…
• a worldwide crisis…
• a satanic confrontation of gigantic proportions…

Not only are all these crises upon us…they are growing in intensity. In my book, Five Major Crises and Five Major Waves of the Holy Spirit, I shared with you:

“Simultaneously, as God’s Spirit is being poured out, God’s people are going to face the greatest confrontation and assault from Satan and his demon principalities that man has ever known or experienced. Sin…violence…crime are going to continue to increase beyond anything we can imagine.

“As these two spiritual forces…God’s power and the power of Satan…continue to grow and intensify, we are going to face the greatest assault from Satan and his demon principalities that man has ever known or experienced!

“The Body of Christ will face satanic confrontation greater than at any other time in history. It will be a time of intensified spiritual warfare where demons will manifest themselves and will be in direct confrontation with God’s people.”

These prophecies are being fulfilled! The battle is raging! Many Christians today are experiencing some of the greatest spiritual battles they have ever faced. We have received letters from many of our GVA members and partners who have opened their hearts and shared the painful struggles, trials and tests they are going through which, at times, seem unbearable and they are becoming battle weary! Regardless of the chaotic conditions…the circumstances…the intense battles you face in your personal life, in your family and ministry, there is no force, no power on earth nor in hell that will shake you…WHEN YOUR HEART IS STRONG… FIXED…CLEAN… PURE AND PERFECT TOWARD GOD!

For the past year I have been sharing the revelation God has given me…how God wants to bring you into a position of strength where YOU WILL NEVER AGAIN BE DEFEATED BY THE POWER OF THE ENEMY! At the beginning of this year, God showed me spirits of discouragement…heaviness… confusion…doubt…fear and complacency… that were coming against the hearts and minds of Christians, causing them to want to give up. God directed me to declare a 40-day fast and to share the message, “DON’T GIVE UP!” Now, He is giving us the next step. God is saying:

“Fortify and strengthen your heart!”

AT THE ROOT OF COMPLACENCY IS A HARDENED HEART!

Heart “Kardia,” — Greek innermost being, Inner Man.

One of the major reasons why a spirit of complacency has come upon many Christians today is because their HEARTS have become weakened through hardening. Hardening of our hearts is one of the spiritual diseases of the heart we must protect ourselves from. The hearts of many Christians have become hardened until they are no longer sensitive to the voice of God. Their spiritual senses have become dull. They hear the Word, the promises, and the prophecies God gives us, but they cannot understand or comprehend them. And, because of their lack of understanding, they fail to act and become vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. Jesus described a people whose hearts had become dull and calloused. They were spiritually blind with no spiritual vision or discernment. When the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him why He taught the people in parables, He told them:

For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.
Matthew 13:15, N/V

The people had closed their eyes to the truth. They didn’t want to see or hear the truth because it would require them to act…to turn away from their sin and turn to Christ, who had come to heal and restore them to God. The truth would force them to be accountable for their actions. When the heart becomes hardened or calloused toward God…apathy and complacency set in. People don’t want to hear the truth because it will convict them of their sin. This hardening of the heart is just one of the many spiritual diseases of the heart which hinder the flow and release of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I will be sharing more with you on this major spiritual heart disease and how to guard your heart against it. Just as “hardening of the arteries” in our physical heart hinders and restricts the life-giving flow of the blood to our bodies thereby weakening us physically; when our spiritual hearts become hardened, it hinders and restricts the life-giving flow of God and weakens our inner man. In this spiritually weakened condition, we become less sensitive to the voice of God; our hearts begin to grow cold and indifferent toward Him and the Word. Our ears may hear the Word but the Word cannot take root in our hearts changing and conforming us into Christ’s image because in our hearts we cannot perceive and understand what God is saying to us. We must hear what the Spirit of God is saying and FORTIFY OUR HEARTS if we are going to be able to be strong and fearless in this final hour and fulfill the work He has given us to do in the nations of the world.

God is saying to you, “It’s time to fortify and strengthen your heart.”

THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE IS THE CONDITION OF YOUR HEART!

In the natural world, we are only as strong as our hearts. If our heart is strong, we will be physically strong, but if our heart is weak, it affects our whole body. All truth is parallel.

WE ARE ONLY AS STRONG SPIRITUALLY AS THE CONDITION OF OUR HEARTS!

We are as our hearts are! If our hearts are FIXED…CLEAN, PURE, STRONG, STEADFAST…and wholly given to God, we will be spiritually strong!

But, if our hearts have become weakened through spiritual disease, we will be weak spiritually…our faith will be weak, our love for God and His Word will be weak, and our commitment and obedience to His Word will be weak.

The single most important thing in your life is the condition of your heart. If your heart is clean and pure before God, you will be walking in obedience to His Word, doing His will. And, you will have confidence and boldness before God knowing whatever you ask, you will receive from Him. The Apostle John wrote:

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
I John 3:21-22

We must know the true condition of our hearts. The condition of our hearts affects our entire being. Sin in our hearts separates us from God and hinders our prayers. David said, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). But, when we truly know our heart and know it is clean and pure before God, without any unconfessed sin, then we can have full assurance, and come before Him without fear or doubting, KNOWING He will hear and answer our prayers. We won’t have to doubt or wonder. We can KNOW that we will receive whatever we ask because we are walking in obedience to God. Sin in the heart not only weakens us spiritually, it also affects our physical bodies. The Apostle Paul said:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:7-8

He told the Romans:

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Romans 8:13

He said:

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23

If we live according to the dictates of our fleshly, carnal nature and the lusts of our flesh, it will take its toll on our physical body. Paul said, if we sow to our flesh, we will from that carnal nature reap corruption and eventually death. God wants us to FORTIFY our hearts! He wants us to have His heart…like David, to be a man or a woman after His own heart…with our hearts wholly devoted to Him. What is the true condition of your heart? Is it clean and pure before God? Is there hidden sin, unbelief, unforgiveness, disobedience, resentment, bitterness? Is there pride, anger, jealousy, covetousness or idolatry? All of these are spiritual heart diseases that will weaken your heart and hinder the work of God in your life if you fail to guard your heart against them.

WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART DETERMINES YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY!

In our physical body, the heart is the organ that pumps blood that circulates throughout the entire body. If the flow of the blood is cut off to one portion of the body, it will die. In our spiritual body, if our heart is weak, the life flow of the Spirit of God will be cut off and our entire spiritual man will be weak.

Spiritual Heart Disease — Hardening of the heart

The heart of our spiritual body is the very center of man’s existence. It is the “inner man” including man’s entire mental and moral activity. It is the place where the emotions, desires, perceptions, thoughts, understanding, reasoning powers, conscience, intentions, motives, the will, and imagination reside. It is in the heart where all the issues of life flow forth. We are warned to GUARD OUR HEARTS above everything else:

Keep your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.
Proverbs 4:23, TAB

The heart is the spiritual center of man. The word “heart” is a comprehensive term used to describe man’s personality, his inner life and character. The heart is where God deals with man and reveals Himself to him. It is the place where conversion takes place and we are cleansed and given a new nature, “created in God’s image, (Godlike) in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:24, TAB). The heart is where God speaks to us and communes with us revealing His will, plan and purposes. It is the place where we can see, hear and know God. At regeneration, it is the place where God places faith within us to believe and accept Christ as our Savior and where Christ comes to live and remain within us by the Spirit. Paul told the Galatians:

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4:6-7

He told the Corinthians:

For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
ll Corinthians 4:6-7

You must GUARD YOUR HEART above everything else!

Paul said, “We have this treasure in earthen vessels”. The same God Who spoke to the darkness and said, “let there be light”, has opened our hearts so that we can perceive and know Him. He has sent forth the Spirit of His Son to live within our hearts! It is in the HEART, not in man’s natural mind where man first believes and releases his faith to accept Christ.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:10

What is in our hearts determines what we are! “For as he thinketh in his heart so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). It is in our hearts where we have the capacity to think, understand and reason. If our hearts are continually filled with evil thoughts, lusts of the flesh, carnal desires and wicked imaginations, we will be evil. From our evil hearts will spring forth evil words and evil actions. If our hearts are continually filled with fear, doubt, negative thoughts and our own inabilities, we will be cowardly, weak and defeated. On the other hand, if a man’s heart is pure and clean, filled with good thoughts, God’s Word, faith and the power of the Holy Spirit, he will be strong and victorious.

YOU MUST BE VIGILANT AND AGGRESSIVE IN GUARDING YOUR HEART!

Jesus, in explaining to His disciples the source from which man is defiled and sin is conceived, said:

For from within, (that is) out of the heart of men, come base and wicked thoughts: sexual immorality, stealing, murder, adultery. Coveting (a greedy desire to have more wealth), dangerous and destructive wickedness, deceit; unrestrained (indecent) conduct; an evil eye (envy), slander (evil speaking, malicious misrepresentation, abusiveness); pride — (that is) the sin of an uplifted heart against God and man; foolishness (folly, lack of sense, recklessness, thoughtlessness). All these evil (purposes and desires) come from within, and they make the man unclean and render him unhallowed.
Mark 7:21-23, TAB

He told the Pharisees:

0 generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Matthew 12:34-35

Jesus made it clear that it is from within man’s heart, evil desires and thoughts originate and defile the man. Before a man can be changed, something must take place deep within his heart. It is possible to determine what is in a man’s heart by observing carefully what is continually coming out of his mouth. If there are thoughts of hatred, anger, jealousy or pride in an individual’s heart, they will be manifested in the words coming out of his mouth. If there is a root of bitterness in his heart, his words will be filled with bitterness and resentment. And, whatever is stored in man’s heart…his innermost being…will eventually be manifested in his actions. Jesus said, “whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:28). Sin is conceived IN MAN’S HEART! Jesus said even before a person commits an adulterous act, they have already sinned and committed the act of adultery if they have lusted after a man or woman in their hearts. It’s the same as if they had already committed the act! It is the heart…within man’s innermost being…where he either has the faith to believe God’s Word and His promises, or harbors doubt and unbelief that hinders him from knowing and receiving from God what he needs. Jesus said: “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him” (Mark 11:22-23, NAS). If you allow your heart to be filled with thoughts of doubt, fear and unbelief regarding the circumstances you are facing, it will be manifested through the words you speak, and you will be unable to receive what you need from God because of the unbelief in your heart. Doubt is a deadly spiritual heart disease that hinders you from receiving anything from God. We must come to God with unwavering faith. Otherwise, we will not receive anything from God. The Apostle James wrote, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord” (James 1:6-7). Paul warned the believers to beware…to be ON GUARD against the deadly spiritual heart disease of unbelief. He said:

“(Therefore beware) brethren; take care lest there be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart — which refuses to cleave to, trust in and rely on Him ¬leading you to turn away and desert or stand aloof from the Living God.”
Hebrews 3:12, TAB

God has given you a prescription for a CLEAN, STRONG, HEALTHY heart!

The condition of our hearts is the most important thing in our lives. It determines our eternal destiny…eternal life with God or eternal damnation in the lake of fire, forever alienated from God. That is the reason why it is so important for us to GUARD OUR HEARTS. The Word of God says, “Keep your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard” (Proverbs 4:23, TAB). To have the strong, pure, healthy heart God intended us to have, we must make this our top priority! Above everything else in this world we must guard our hearts with “all vigilance.” Like a sentinel in an army standing guard to protect his post who is prepared to refuse entrance and to fight against any outside hostile forces, we must do the same in guarding our hearts. We must set a guard around our hearts to shield and protect it from the enemy and to ward off spiritual diseases of the heart. Satan’s objective is to attack us here in our hearts at our most vulnerable point…at the very center of our existence. All the strategies he uses against us are aimed at our hearts. He wants to alienate us from God, hinder the life flow of God’s Spirit in our lives, harden our hearts and lead us into sin, destruction and death. Guarding our hearts is not something we can take lightly or do haphazardly. We must be VIGILANT…AGGRESSIVE…TIRELESS in all our efforts. We cannot for even one moment let down our guard, but must continuously be on the lookout and shield our hearts from allowing anything to enter or remain there that would weaken and hinder the work of the Spirit in our lives.

GOD’S PRESCRIPTION FOR A CLEAN, STRONG, HEALTHY HEART!

When an individual has a problem with his physical heart, he goes to a doctor who examines him, does an electrocardiogram, checks his blood pressure and heart rate, and then prescribes specific treatment or medicine. God has given us a prescription for a clean, strong, healthy heart:

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:20-23

1. Our hearts must be sensitized to the Spirit of God where we are receptive to the voice of God and the leading of His Spirit.

2. We must hear the voice of God and walk in obedience to Him and His Word.

3. We must keep His Word in the very center of our hearts and meditate upon it continually. David said, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” (Psalm 119:11).

4. We must diligently guard our hearts.

When the Word has taken root within our hearts and we are walking in obedience to God, we will have a clean, strong and healthy heart. Not only will we be spiritually strong, the Word in our hearts will bring “health” to all our flesh! Look at verse 22 in the New American Standard translation. It says, “For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their whole Body” (Proverbs 4:22). When our hearts are healthy, full of the Word and we are acting upon the Word, it will strengthen our physical bodies. Jesus told His disciples, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). The Word coming out of our hearts and mouths will release the life flow of God into our lives! Do you want a clean, strong and healthy heart? First get your heart in tune with God. Get your heart “fixed” upon Him and His Word. Get the Word deep down into your heart. What you need is “heart knowledge” of the Word, not head knowledge! Then, be ON GUARD…watching…ready!

MAN’S NATURAL HEART IS DESPERATELY SICK AND WICKED!

In this lesson you will learn steps HOW to guard your heart. However, before I share these vitally important steps with you, you must be willing for God to reveal to you the true condition of your heart. WE MUST HAVE A FRESH HEART-TO-HEART ENCOUNTER WITH GOD! You must humble yourself before God and allow Him to search your heart and reveal any areas that are displeasing to Him. You must know the clean, pure, strong, heart God has planned for you to have. He expects us to love and serve Him with nothing less than our whole heart…a PERFECT heart. He is searching throughout the earth… earnestly looking and desiring to reveal Himself and pour out His mighty power in the lives of those whose heart is PERFECT toward Him. “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” (II Chronicles 16:9). You may be wondering, “Brother Cerullo, what does it mean to have a perfect heart and is it really possible to serve God with a PERFECT heart?” Yes, it is possible and God requires it of us! A PERFECT heart is one that is committed and devoted solely to God. It is a whole-hearted consecration to His purposes and His will. If our service to God is to be acceptable, it must not be with a divided heart but with a whole, PERFECT heart. The only way it is possible for us to serve God with a PERFECT heart is for God to first give us a NEW HEART…one that is clean and pure. It requires a spiritual HEART TRANSPLANT! Man’s natural, stony heart is wicked and sinful. It is deceitful. It is alienated from God and cannot perceive or know Him. It is spiritually blinded from seeing the truth.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it (perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind)?
Jeremiah 17:9, TAB

The prophet Jeremiah said man’s heart is sick! Not only is the natural “stony” heart of man…including his mind, will, emotions, and reasoning abilities…desperately wicked… MORTALLY SICK…it is DECEITFUL above everything else! There is no possible way for an individual to reach out to God, to know Him and walk in obedience to His Word with His natural heart. The Apostle Paul told the believers in the Ephesian church:

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Ephesians 4:17-18

You have undergone a spiritual heart transplant…God has given you a NEW HEART that is CLEAN, PURE and 100 percent free from sin!

Man’s natural heart is cut off from the life of God. He is spiritually blind and cannot understand the things of God. He cannot accept spiritual truths because they are “foolishness” to him. He cannot know God or even reach out to Him unless God first touches his heart. Paul told the Corinthians:

But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them — of progressively recognizing, understanding and becoming better acquainted with them — because they are spiritually discerned.
I Corinthians 2:14, TAB

In order for man to have a relationship with God, he must first have a NEW, CLEAN, PURE HEART. This involves more than just a change of heart. God’s Word teaches us that man’s heart is deceitful above everything else and it is impossible to know it. There is absolutely nothing man can do to change the condition of his heart. It is necessary for God to CREATE A NEW HEART…one that is clean and pure…and place it within him.

TO BE BORN AGAIN, WE MUST HAVE A HEART TRANSPLANT!

When we are born again, we undergo a spiritual heart “transplant.” God takes out our stony, cold, hard heart with its sinful, carnal nature that is alienated from Him, and replaces it with a clean, pure heart created in God’s image in righteousness and holiness. Our hearts are thoroughly cleansed from all sin and we are given a NEW nature. God promised through Ezekiel:

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: that they may walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
Ezekiel 11:19-20

Notice God’s purpose for giving man a new heart, “That they may walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances, and do them”. He said:

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Ezekiel 36:26-27

God promised to do four things:
1. To take away the “stony heart.”
2. To give us a NEW HEART…a heart of flesh.
3. To put His Spirit within us.
4. To cause us to walk in obedience to Him.

God told the people of Israel He was going to take out their “stony heart” and replace it with a NEW heart…a “heart of flesh.” Their “stony heart” was one that had become rebellious and disobedient. They had turned their backs on God and were serving idol gods of wood and stone. Not only had they turned away from God and were alienated from Him, they had continually refused to turn away from their idolatry and had hardened their hearts against Him. They had shut their ears and refused to hear His pleas for them to repent and turn back to Him. God promised to give them a NEW HEART…a “heart of flesh.” This “heart of flesh” was one that was soft, pliable, and one wholly yielded to Him. He promised to place His Spirit within them…within their hearts…so they would walk in his statutes and keep his judgments and do them.

As long as they had a stony heart they were cast off from God. They were unable to know Him or walk in obedience and keep the laws He had given them. But, when God said He was going to give them a NEW HEART and place His Spirit within their hearts, He was giving them a supernatural ability and divine enablement to keep His commandments and do His will!

Beloved, what is the true condition of your heart? Is it FIXED…CLEAN, PURE, STRONG, HEALTHY? Or has it become weakened through sin and spiritual heart disease? God is saying to us, “Fortify and strengthen your heart.” God wants you to be ON GUARD… VIGILANT against the deadly spiritual heart diseases that will weaken your entire spiritual being. God has given you a NEW HEART with a NEW NATURE. All of Satan’s strategies are aimed at polluting and weakening our hearts because it is the center of our existence where God deals with us. His objective is to cut off the life flow of God. Don’t let him do it! In next week’s lesson, I will be going more in-depth into this revelation concerning the NEW Heart God has given us and this supernatural ability that enables us to know and commune with God and walk in obedience to Him. This week as we begin our Heart-to-Heart encounter with God, humble yourself before God. Let Him have free reign in your heart to do some spiritual heart surgery, if necessary.
